Link the button directly to your PDF file.

  1. (Optional) Image Block
Show the cover of the Monochrome Digital Edition above the button.

  2. (Optional) Text Block

The PDF doesn’t live on the Thank You page. It lives in your Squarespace file storage.

Here’s the setup:

  1. Upload your PDF (for example, Monochrome_Digital_Edition.pdf) to Squarespace by linking it in a Button Block or File Block. Squarespace stores the file on its CDN automatically.

  2. On your Thank You page, add a Button Block.

  3. Edit the button:

    • Clickthrough URLFile

    • Upload → select Monochrome_Digital_Edition.pdf

Now the button points directly to the PDF stored by Squarespace.

Example:

Monochrome Thank You

Thank you! Your download is ready.

[ Download Monochrome Digital Edition ] ← Button linked to the uploaded PDF.

You don’t have to create a separate page for the PDF. Squarespace hosts it for you once you’ve uploaded it.

Squarespace doesn’t have a visible “File Manager” like WordPress. Instead, files are uploaded when you attach them to a block.

Here are three ways to store your PDF:

Option 1 (Recommended): Button Block

On your Thank You page:

  1. Add a Button Block.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Under Link, choose File.

  4. Click Upload File.

  5. Select your PDF.

Squarespace uploads and stores it automatically.

Option 2: File Block

You can also add a File Block anywhere (even on a hidden page), upload the PDF, and Squarespace stores it.

Option 3: Image or Text Link

You can link an image or text directly to a PDF by choosing Link → File and uploading the PDF.
